Round 1 - Paparoachoa
Game 1
He drops a 2nd turn Wurm’s Tooth followed up with a 4th turn Sparkmage Apprentice to the face. I play 4/4s, smash his face.
Game 2
I get a little flooded and get beat down to 7 via Deadly Recluse, Griffin Sentinel and Lava Axe before stabilizing and smashing face once more.
Round 2 – Heinrick_A_Payaso
Had a lot of downtime before round 2 so I had watched his round 1 games. Good G?U deck with lots of bombs, sleep 9/9 shroud, 7/7 etv.
Game 1 – Apparently he is one of the assholes that play multiple drafts at once so I get to wait 9 minutes before we start game 1.
Longish game but I finally lost to fliers after he countered my Magma Phoenix twice.
Now of course I get to wait out the 2 minute sideboard time.
Game 2 - Another long game, delayed a lot in part by his 2 sleeps and gorgon flail, I finally push through enough damage to win.
Game 3 – He opens with ponder for the third straight game. I have to mulligan to 5. First turn I drop Mold Adder, but don’t have a second land to follow it up. He Elvish Pipers out 9/9 on turn 5. Frustrating.
